NWFlyer 2 #8 April 26, 2008 I'll be at Perris over Memorial Day. Need me to bring some down for you? (I know it's not instant gratification, but I can probably get a couple of six packs into my luggage and stay under the weight limits of my checked bag). Flying--ya know 3 oz of the stuff just wouldn't cut it, and I'm sure it'd never make it through baggage without them consuming the lot. The empty bottle I have gracing my desk (decoration) right now is from the case that Amy and Bill brought down several years ago. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

NWFlyer 2 #11 April 26, 2008 Flying ... I've managed to bootleg three cases of Chateau Mad John up from California to Washington - I'm sure I can manage to get a bit of Skydiver Blonde down to Perris. I'll check my local Lang sources between now and then because I think my fridge is currently dry."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. NWFlyer 2 #16 April 26, 2008 It depends on whether Alaska Airlines adds $25 charges for a second checked bag (and whether they waive them for me because I'm an MVP Member). If they charge, there's only so much I can get in my first bag without running afoul of the 50 lb weight limit (because I still need to get my jumpsuit and helmet shoes and all my clothes for the weekend in that bag). Now, if they don't start charging, I can do a box full o' beer as my second checked piece of luggage and get 50 lbs worth of Lang into a box. Nightingale 0 #19 April 26, 2008 The Huckleberry is really good, light and fruity. Tri-Motor Amber is a hoppy beer (according to James, it's like Sam Adams but less bitter).

NWFlyer 2 #23 May 18, 2008 This has turned out to be fun! After a disappointment last week when I found out my usual source stopped carrying it, I got a great tip at the DZ today (thanks, Wayne!) that there was a relatively new specialty beer store on the way home that carried Lang beers. So I stopped by 99 Bottles and not only did I find Lang, I think I have a new favorite beer store. These people rock. Totally friendly, cool place, and they really know their beer. John from Lang has already stopped by the store (which has only been open 16 months) and met the owners, so they are (understandably) big fans of Lang, too, and we had a great chat today about my demo jump into the brewery (complete with "oh, no, I could never skydive" reassurances). So... I have in my possession for transport to Southern California 24 Skydiver Blonde 12 Huck & Honey 12 Tri-Motor Amber I think this will weigh about 50 lbs, I may have to pull a few bottles out once I get it all packaged up in a box for the plane. I'm going to let you guys discuss amongst yourselves who wants how much of each of those... I'm bringing it all down, and the good news is that because they changed the policy on charging for the second bag AFTER I bought my ticket, I don't have to pay for my second bag. Current plan is to be at Elsinore on 5/24 and Perris on 5/25. Oh yeah, and I also picked up a six-pack of the brand-new Cherry Porter for myself. Just popped open a cold bottle on a hot night. Holy yummy beer, batman. I think I might have a new favorite Lang. "There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please.
