Wow, this is the first time my current job has ever become even a little bit relevant on this site. The reason my job exists is for restoring habitat for the prairie chicken in south Texas. Sounds like a lose/lose for the chickens though as the eggs and young hatchlings are a favorite treat for regular fire ants too.

Maybe it's time to ant-proof all the bridges over the Mississippi River. Just one more pest to keep out of the house! :S

Perhaps if their habitat were also used as an iPod graveyard (or Zune warehouse) they might lose interest in the hatchlings?
