BillyVance 35 #7 May 14, 2008 Quote Your an African American! The problem with that term is that they were trying to give a politically correct name for black people. Imagine putting down African American on job applications as your ethnic origin, and seeing the double-take the hirer does when he sees the applicant's white! The total processing time (according to the INS website) is 18 months BUT my whole process took about 2 months from filing to completion. kbordson 8 #25 May 14, 2008 Congratulations!! I was mentioning this to my nurses today. They are "black" or "African American" and they think that YOU definately deserve to use that title because you've at least been to Africa (of which neither of them have. ) I hope you enjoy and take advantage of any and all the opportunities available to you.
