scooterskydives 0 #1 May 27, 2008 On May 25th I got to experience one of the coolest things a mother could.... after 14 long years of waiting, I finally got to take my son Geoff on his first tandem skydive!!!!.. Was I nervous.. yeah, probably more than him, but he had a fantastic time and is now can't wait to keep on skydiving.. .If God wanted man to stay on the ground. He would of put roots on them instead of feet. loving life GO-N-UP
skymama 37 #2 May 27, 2008 That's awesome! I docked with my son on his tandem, but it would be totally different to be the one to take him. I was more nervous than my son too! She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon

wmw999 2,589 #4 May 27, 2008 You looked so excited and happy this weekend! Congratulations on a great jump! He didn't look quite as much so, but that's consistent with his job description as 16-year-old Wendy W. There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)

livendive 8 #6 May 27, 2008 I took my daughter on a tandem a couple years ago and it was easily my favorite skydive to date. I was certain I'd be nervous as hell, but once we got in the plane I relaxed, and I couldn't wipe the silly grin off my face till early the next morning (after watching her video 30 or so times). vskydiver 0 #9 May 28, 2008 I've docked on three out of my four kids' tandems. Dad was their tandem master. Those are really special moments. Our other daughter will not skydive. She says "I don't want to get sucked into the vortex that is your cult." (She's made about 75 prenatal skydives and has grown up at the DZ.) In spite of that she is a great kid and on her way to college next fall.
