So i was in a customers office who apparently had no idea i skydive. I dont broadcst it, but she was looking at my computer when we went to tie into the building's automation system and saw some photos.
She proceeds to tell me how stupid i am for doing this. My kids, i can die, She actually said, : i thought you were a pretty smart guy until now". You would have thought it was affecting her life in some way.
So i let in one ear and out the other. Two days later i go back to install new software. She starts in again about the whole thing, Now my day is not going to so well and i just did not want to hear this crap again.
So i fired back and asked if she was planning to live forever, she said "no, we are all gonna die" I said exactly, we are all dying, the only question is how much are you going to live while your dying? I went on about judging people and other shit! I went off! I told her i think she is stupid for doing the samr thing everyday, day after day, work, dinner, tv and expecting life to just hand her happiness! Anyway, I just finished my work and she stood there fuming, smoke out of the ears. Maybe i should have held my tounge in this economy, but damn, you can only take so much shit.

So i just broke up with this woman who wasn't even my girlfriend!

Simply tell her "unless you are willing to try it...dont talk shit about it". I agree with Sunny...she sounds like she is just that type of person to get under your skin. Tell her what i said above should shut her up...unless she is just really that ignorant...in that case just ignore her comments unless it pertains directly to work.

I've had a few people at work critisize(sp) me for skydiving. I did to them what i adised you to do and it ended right there and never arose again.

At one point, I had a pic of our 10-way team in freefall as my screensaver. I haven't for years.

I never mention it at work for a variety of reasons.
-Discussions with idiots like that.
-Stalkers who show up at the dz.

In the future, look at her and do not reply, but smile in a condescending manner as if to say, "Your opinion has no value". Trust me, it's the worst thing you can do.

Luckily i am the owner of the company, but she is the facilities person for a very good customer. I am just going to let it die down and see what happens when (if) i return to the facility. I should have just let it go.
