Gas prices by zip code

Recommended Posts

You'd be suprised sometimes. There were 3 straight days where if I turned left out of work and drove 3 miles gas was $3.85. However, if I turned right and drove 2 miles gas was $3.72.

Of course one day the cheaper gas jumped 20 cents instantly but hey, I was lucky enough to get my gas when it was "cheap" there.

I've been using it for about a month now to see if i should get gas in my hometown, or wait til i get to the town SDC is in. So i kinda like the website.

That makes sense.

I just never let my tank get under 3/4 full anymore. Only $10 to fill it back up. :)

If it costs you $1.50 in gas to go an extra 4 miles you need to get a new car. :S:S:S:S

Not just the cost of the fuel...TIME is money too! ;)
True:)

But But Burt I saved 15cents per gallon:ph34r::ph34r::ph34r:

Interesting find.

I notice for my zip code that although there are 3 Arco stations in my town none of them are listed on this web site. I know 2 of them are cheaper than the one they list as "least expensive". The 3rd one is right by the freeway and almost always the most expensive in town.

Guess Arco declines to participate? Or is their fuel not considered 'gasoline'? :P

Then why is it than on the occasions I've been unemployed I had LOTS of time, but NO money?[:/]

Just checked out the prices for everywhere I've lived in the last 10 years or so. Seems we're not doing bad at all down in South Texas compared to some other places. Doesn't make it suck any less to know other people are paying more, but it certainly could be worse. I'm a minimum of 15 cents and more often 20 cents cheaper now than the other places I've lived.

Agreed, Arco isn't listed in my area. And no, it doesn't suck. I've used it in all my vehicles ever since I started driving and haven't noticed any problems. I use this site regularly. It's updated more frequently and independently. http://www.gasbuddy.com/

Thats a great tool to have, however it didnt show Wal-Mart in my area, and at both Wal-Marts that are equal distance from my house, you can save 3 cents a gallon by using a wal-mart charge or by putting money on a gift card to buy gas with. I have been doing this for years. I know 3 cents doesnt sound like much, but it adds up!;)
