Any North Georgia Peeps Out There?

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone. Just wanted to send a message to see if there are any other jumpers who commute to jump from the North Georgia area. I moved to Dahlonega at the end of last year, and getting to the DZ is quite a pain the ass. Would be awesome to have someone to share the ride and split gas with.... so if you are out there, let me know!

Do you jump at the Farm or at SDA? When do you go to the dz? Friday after work or Saturday morning? Are you willing to meet at someone's house that might be 1/2 way to the dz?
The more info you give, the easier it might be to find the right carpool people.
Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours.

I go to the Farm and Skydive Atlanta.
My days off from work are thursday, friday, and saturday. So I can do down either of those days, but unfortunately I have to be back home saturday night to go to work the next day.
I would be interested in driving half way to meet up with others going the same direction. Especially for going all the way down to Skydive Atlanta.

As of right now my next official plans to go to jump are going to the Farm the last weekend of the month.

Hey Amber. I'm in Cumming (exit 14 off GA400) and jump at the Farm. I met another jumper there this weekend who is living in Buford. So, yeah...let's save some gas money. I'm usually an early Saturday to mid-day Sunday jumper or just Sunday...but I'm up for anything. I'll listen to your music if you'll listen to mine. ;)

PM me for more info.

Depending where in North Georgia you are my dz might be closer than those. It's about 5 min from Clemson. Do you think it will be any closer? I could have not been lazy and looked at your profile to see where you are, but...I didn't :$

Several of us from N Georgia meet up on Saturday or Sunday morning and car pool to SDA in Thomaston. One guy in our group is from Dahlonega. If you would like to ride with us send me a PM. A new drop zone is in the works to re-open in Monroe Ga. That will be a lot closer to you.

Does anyone have the "real" information on this? I'm sure lots of people have speculation, but I was wondering if anyone would be willing to post the solid truth about it. I had heard something on the Farm bus about it as well.
