CSpenceFLY 1 #1 June 12, 2008 Be sure to click on those Google Ads every chance you get. If they are stupid enough to advertise here it should cost them.
pilotdave 0 #2 June 12, 2008 So much for taking the high road, huh? Just wait for dz.com to get sued next... Dave
CSpenceFLY 1 #3 June 12, 2008 Who said anything about the high road? If they don't want me going to their website they should not put the links here. After all, they have a great forum there.
NWFlyer 2 #4 June 12, 2008 Seems you're never happy, Spence. When they advertise fake dropzones, you're not happy, and now that they're advertising a real dropzone, you're still not happy. BlueHaze 0 #5 June 12, 2008 The ads have been here over a year. Did you update your computer? I started hating this website when the advertising for ASC started. From what I hear it will not change.
CSpenceFLY 1 #6 June 12, 2008 I'm happier then I have been in a long time. And yes I am aware they have advertised here for a while.

philly51 0 #10 June 12, 2008 How about the google ad for skydiving NJ/Pa? They mention freefall over the Hudson Valley which is in New YorK? Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, Shouting "...holy shit...what a ride!" pilotdave 0 #11 June 12, 2008 Google ads can be varied by location. If you're near atlanta, you'll see ads for ASC. If you're near philadelphia, you'll see ads for PA. Skyride probably has ads for every part of the country. I also hope that threads like this don't threaten this site's ability to display google ads... they don't care for that sort of behavior. skydemon2 0 #12 June 12, 2008 I thought the point of advertising is to get people to click on the links? Their site gets more traffic which is what they want and HH gets his ad fees. Who loses? pilotdave 0 #13 June 12, 2008 Google doesn't like abuse of their system. There's a lot of money involved... it's understandable. From their program policies... QuoteInvalid Clicks and Impressions Clicks on Google ads must result from genuine user interest. Any method that artificially generates clicks or impressions on your Google ads is strictly prohibited... Encouraging clicks In order to ensure a good experience for users and advertisers, publishers may not request that users click the ads on their sites or rely on deceptive implementation methods to obtain clicks. Publishers participating in the AdSense program: * May not encourage users to click the Google ads by using phrases such as "click the ads," "support us," "visit these links," or other similar language... Now obviously dropzone.com isn't responsible for threads like this, but that doesn't mean they wouldn't be held accountable if there was a significant number of fraudulent ad clicks taking place. But more importantly, why stoop to skyride's level? Let them be the ones doing something wrong. I can see threads like this being quoted all over their next lawsuit. skydemon2 0 #15 June 12, 2008 Exactly and the way they are displayed there is nothing from HH requesting anyone to click on them. If someone shows interest and clicks on the ads a few times thats what they are there for. If someone clicks hundreds of times it will show they are coming from the same user and IP address. If that happens they can contest the charges and probably wont pay, not that these ads are super expensive anyways. Now personally I wouldnt do it because its really not worth the time of doing it, youre not going to hurt them that much. Google has software that detects abuse, not like the old days when companies paid entire villages in china to click on their competitions pay per click ads!! Im just saying if someone wants to click they can.... Beauty is only skin deep, but ugly goes clean to the bone! I like to start my day off with a little Ray of Soulshine™!!
