StreetScooby 5 #5 June 17, 2008 I am a big FireFox fan. Has anyone else seen this? The last couple of weeks, I'm getting Firefox downloads forced on me. It's been very sluggish, and craters overnight. It has me concerned that Microsoft is up to their old tricks (e.g., Netscape tricks). We are all engines of karma

It has me concerned that Microsoft is up to their old tricks (e.g., Netscape tricks). For me, I noticed some changes when I upgraded to AVG 8.0...I disabled "link-scanner" because it was pissing me off while I would google search...etc. I've not had any Firefox updates forced on me in a while, and I'm running 2.0.0.14.So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! Gawain 0 #11 June 17, 2008 Quote Are you seriously going to download it today? I will be waiting until you guys have tested it out and the bugs have been fixed. There's been pre-release "release candidates" out for months now. I'm not too worried about. I'll try downloading later today I think. The servers probably aren't in the mood today...So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! Cornholio 0 #13 June 17, 2008 Considering that the official sites are all slashdiggered, here's a link to one that I got from rapidshare that I freely give to you. But you won't be part of the official record count. But that serves them right for not having the capacity to handle the flood. 204.11.224.12/Firefox_Setup_3.0.exe Butthead: Whoa! Gawain 0 #14 June 17, 2008 I went to the Mozilla site a few minutes ago, sluggish load, but Firefox 3 is only a 7-ish MB file. I guess traffic has eased. Anyway...it's up and running, and the only immediately noticeable difference (aside from some cosmetic) is the address bar when typing in URLs from sites previously visited and the organization of bookmarks. So far so good...So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light!
