billvon 3,120 #28 June 17, 2008 >so you get more than 10 miles I don't think that will work, if I understand what you are suggesting. If you had some extra power, why not keep it in the battery rather than driving the wheels, taking the power back off the wheel with a generator and putting it back in the battery? It's not like you're going to get back more power than you put into the system.

I posted that link but found some better options but more expensive. http://www.bikeengines.com/ I'm about being green but sometimes the pocket book can't afford to be so I think a gas engine conversion would be better in the long run. Actually, I think it looks comparitive to the Kings...Kings lists miles per tank, that site list miles per gallon, and Kings are 1/2 gallon tanks...I admit to not understanding the other stuff, though. ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action. I was conferring with another cyclist about how to get from Golden to Idaho Springs. Part of the route can be done via a bike path that parallels the road. To my surprise there is a 2-mile section of I-70 that can be used by cyclists."There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones. I have a friend who made it a mission to ride his bike down from Victorville (where he lived) to San Diego a few years back. There is a part of I-15 that allows bikes as there is no other route down through the pass. If that's not scary enough, he was almost blind when he did this. His wife (and kids) followed him with their van to provide a bit of protection. This is an amazing man. He never said quit when he was diagnosed and lost his driver's license. He started riding his bike back and forth to work instead and even got a job helping others. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Engine between knees = not good then? Why's zat? I would think it would give you more space to mount a back rack and carry stuff if it's on the frame that way.~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action. I suppose it would be ok during the winter but during the summer I'd be worried they'd burn my tender knees. www.FourWheelerHB.com
