cherokee 0 #26 March 12, 2006 The instructions I got off the website for the speed 2000 reserve, which pretty much explains the procedure , although the reefing sequence just shows the canopy laying there with the 3 cells on each side spread out. How do you spread those? No I'm not a rigger but I'm working towards that eventually. my rig had to be dis-assembled for shipping and I had to pop the reserve, just thought I'd try the run through before I took it to my rigger, for alittle hands on. Check out the web-site for speed 2000 it's pretty informative. Don't Mess with Texas, my son was born in Marshall.
masterrig 1 #27 March 12, 2006 I think, you are referring to the 'ears'? O.K., if I understand correctly, where you are, in the process. You will have neatly folded cells on each side of center. A channel formed down the middle, with right and left cells and line groups on each side. Bring the bottom of the cocooned parachute up forming a short 'S' fold. Bring the upper portion, making an 'S' fold, resting it on top of the first fold. You will have excess material above the 'S' folds. Working from the middle, outward, separate the cells apart and work the center cell material back toward the stacked 'S' folds. At this point, what you have, should look like legs in short britches. By the way, the best way to control the 'S' folded material is to kneel on the 'S' folds so you have both hands free, to neatly form the 'ears'. Does this make sense? Have you tried checking-out: www.parachuteriggers.com? The instructions for the Raven should be there. Chuck
