iluvtofly 0 #1 June 30, 2008 OK...so I've bitched and whined long enough about certain aspects in my life. The biggest one would have to be lonelyness and wanting to go somewhere where I won't be alone all the damn time. I have no family in the area and my only 2 friends live about an hour away. (Over the years the family have all moved down south. Some are in the Atlanta area others are in Florida.) I know this is going to be a long journey but I'm hoping to take on a 2nd job so that I will eventually have the money to move somewhere that's better for me. That's big step #1. Big step #2 will be deciding where exactly I want to move to. I really have no idea. I should move down south somewhere to be closer to family. But there is someone up north who if I could live closer to I would be ecstatic. It's one of those impossible choices of the head telling you to do one thing where the heart tells you to do something else. On the bright side...I have a feeling it may take a year or 2 to get the money to move so I've got time to figure that one out. The biggest hurdle for me will be finding the patience to save all that money. I'm very impatient when it comes to wanting to see results. I currently have zero savings and am living paycheck to paycheck. So I know it's gonna take a while to get the money to move. I'm also very nervous about doing all of this. I've never moved very far. I'm currently living about 30 minutes from where I grew up. I have absolutly no knowledge about how to go about finding a job and place to live in an area I've never been to. I also have no idea exactly how much money I should save up. I'm still working on that figure. Any help/suggestions in these areas would be greatly appreciated. Anyway, now that I've posted this if I ever start whining or say I'm giving up you all have the right to give me a swift kick in the ass. You can do a couple of hours cleanigng in the morning to pay for hostel accommodation and food, you can get casual work and temp work in any city in the world. The only reason you ahave not started your journey is cause you keep finding excuses not to and i bet your main excuse is the fact that you dont have any money. You dont need any money. Go to thailand and live on $20 a week. How do you know where you want to move to unless you take a year out to explore the world. Trust me, if you want to travel money is the least of your worries unless you expect to stay in hotels and pay 100s a night when you dont need to. If you are just wanting tto move house to another state, nothing will change, it will all be the same. it is the person that makes the atmosphere around them, you dont just move to another area and your life dramatically changes.
