Where did they get that name? Last night me and another were talking about it, he has a crapola amount of jumps and he did not know either... anyone aware or the origin for the name?

just ask me to take video of your landings. I will then show you why they call them that.:P

When I put them on the first Vector 1, some of the jumpers in my shop thought they were excessive, or at least an unnecessary decoration...kinda like the "mud flaps" on an old "Pimp-mobile". So they called them mud flaps too, probably just to make fun of me. I actually put them there to cover up, and protect the main ring stitch pattern from sunlight or abrasion. Can anyone think of a better name? I've never really appreciated the joke.

"Ring Covers"

That's what I call them.

Mostly.

But they don't cover the rings, JP.

Fluff flaps? Oh no. That's not nice either.

How about Logo Flaps?

Had to read that twice, first time my eyes didn't read it as Fluff flaps... :D
Think I'll stick with mud flaps...
The only naturals in this sport shit thru feathers...

But if they really covered the rings, you wouldn't be able to breakaway.

Officially on the Reflex we called them 4 point covers, RMR 01-1 -83 four point covers to be exact. But that's kinda long winded, so 4 point covers they be.

Hope colorado is treating you well.

Mick.
