Leapinglizardto 0 #1 June 21, 2008 i don't mean to spoil this for anyone, so i'll be careful with how much detail i allow myself to spill here. if i fail what else can i say but 'sorry about that chief'? saw it last night imax style. hilarious from beginning to end. run time about 1hr. 50mins. (does not seem that long at all) never a dull moment. packed with action & non-stop side-splitting humor throughout. best of all 25mins or so into it. great skydiving scene & footage that lasts for several minutes including a 'cut-away' & a jump that starts out solo & ends up a makeshift 'tandem' of sorts. just the few minutes of footage with max trying to 'access' his rig is side-splitting. a hilarious must see. i should talk the footage i'll be posting here in about a week of my 1st tandem, could end up being even funnier. 'would ya believe almost funnier'? at 1st we were not sure which flick we wanted to see the most. something told me i had to see this one. not at all knowing of the bonus, skydiving scene. certainly made the best choice, to catch this one & on opening night. funny we chose this one & just before i'm scheduled to make my 1st tandem ( 'missed it by this much)It's pretty pathetic when you have to TELL people you're fucking cool Skymama «narrative»This thread will lock in 3..2.. Snowwhite 0 #2 June 22, 2008 I talked to Norman last year, just after he got done recording those skydiving scenes. He had a good outlook on it. It is supposed to be funny, not like Point Break, or Cutaway, where it is supposed to be serious, but is funny to skydivers. aresye 0 #3 June 22, 2008 I was quite surprised by the skydiving scene, and pleased! When it was about to start, I'm thinking, "Oh no! Another Hollywood skydive scene." It turned out very well though, and was enjoyable. The whole movie is hilarious. There are some parts that aren't as funny as others, but the movie has so many good parts. I highly recommend it. It isn't one of those movies that have all the funny parts in the commercial. In fact, most of the parts in the commercial were some of the less funny parts, compared to the rest.Skydiving: You either learn from other's mistakes, or they'll learn from yours.
