normiss 897 #1 July 8, 2008 At least none of them are jump ships! I disagree with the selection of the Comet, it became a huge learning platform! Worst
PhreeZone 20 #2 July 8, 2008 They put the Beechcraft Starship on the list? They are idiots, that plane was years ahead of its time and Beechcraft mishandled the project so bad that they shot themselves in not just the foot but about every other body part you can aim a gun at. Offer free maintianence for a plane and see how often it sits in the shop for the tiniest little thing then call it a hanger queen for needing so much maintianence time and dollars. I'm glad one was in formation with SpaceShip One serving as its chase plane. And why is the A-12 in there???If you are going to include planes that were never built, the list could be infinite."There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones. Amazon 7 #8 July 8, 2008 They have a Comet sitting in Everett at the Boing Museum restoration facility. It is one of the later models like the one in the picture. It was the ones with the square windows that were the ones to suffer metal fatigue and had the crashes. ITs a kewl airplane to walk into..although a tad short on headroom by todays standards of airliners
