AggieDave 6 #1 July 11, 2008 Yup, I'm glad I had a free ticket. It had some funny moments, but it just didn't have the overall fun feel of the first movie. The ending was painfully obvious about 45 minutes into the movie, you just had to keep waiting and waiting and waiting for it to happen. The ending could have happened about 30 minutes in and the movie would have been better. That would make a great story line. Samurai136 0 #5 July 11, 2008 If you are a fan of Hellboy, you'll like this one, too. I saw the midnight showing and loved it!There are more and better special effects. The fight scenes are cool and there is plenty of story development of the original character's relationships. I won't spoil anything. Hellboy 2 has the same problem as the original; a 1 dimensional villain / threat driving a comic book plot. The villain & plot of Hellboy 2 are a little more subdued. Then again it's hard to top Rasputin and an undead-clockwork-nazi-assassin summoning extra-dimensional evil to annihilate the earth for ultimate power. That's so silly... LouDiamond 1 #6 July 13, 2008 I have to disagree. This was a pretty good movie as far as the summer movies have been faring so far. I thought the graphics and the costumes were outstanding. I thought it moved along pretty good and it definitely has plenty of action in it. I give it a thumbs up for being an entertaining mindless summer action movie.
