Sebazz1 2 #1 July 16, 2008 Totally random, I showed up at the Red Rock in Vegas last week and they were not on any web site or any publication but regardless Saturday night Perry Farrell and Navaro played for 30 minuites at the Red Rock in Vegas. I was knee deep in the pool drinking beer and they frikken rocked!! Too short but still a pleasant surprise. Anyone know anything about "Satellite Party Project"? -Seb

Rdutch 0 #4 July 17, 2008 True story. I was in the back of a rock club in southbeach (Washington Square), and Perry farrel was back there. Me and my friends went up and talked to him. He produced a pipe, and asked my friend if he wanted a hit, my friend accepted, took a hit and coughed and started bitching at him "thats not pot" perry laughed and said no its just a little rock its ok dont worry enjoy it. I cant beleive he offered someone he just met crack. Pretty fucked up. Now I know why he is so skinny. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of! porpoishead 8 #5 July 17, 2008 yeah perry is a madman..... we have partied with him on a couple of occassions. here in new orleans after a porno for pyros show at the howling wolf. we partied with perry, steve perkins, and mike watt till mid afternoon the next day. another time in atlanta when janes got back together. eric avery wasnt there though, flea was playing bass for that show. that was a wild ass party too. flea is a pretty sick little man. good fucking times. janes is my favorite band of all times and will always be. haven't heard about satellite party project. have you guys heard deconstruction. they put out one album after janes broke up it was eric avery(bass/vocals). dave navarro(guitar/ vocals) and steve perkins (percussion) it was everybody but perry. very fucking awesome album. those guys make great music togetherif you want a friend feed any animal Perry Farrell

masterblaster72 0 #7 July 18, 2008 You lucky bastard...to have stumbled upon a show with Perry & Dave Navarro...green with envy here. I'm a big fan. Love Navarro's stuff too. Or any band associated with Jane's Addiction for that matter -- Porno for Pyros, Deconstruction, Dave Navarro's solo "Trust No One" released in 2001 (one of my favorite albums), Farrell's solo album, and Navarro's current band, The Panic Channel. Some of the best music of the last 20 years, IMHO. Some of my favorite tunes from those bands: Three Days Avoiding the Angel Hardcharger Ocean Size Packin' 25 Porpoise Head Everybody's Friend Sympathy for the Devil cover Iris Bloody Mary etc. etc. etc... Edited to add: I'm surprised Perry & Navarro are still playing together. I heard they had to cut their 2003 tour short because they simply couldn't get along anymore. Hopefully they'll give it another go -- they've made some great sounds over the years. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
porpoishead 8 #8 July 18, 2008 they also did a grateful dead cover of ripple before janes split the first time its on a grateful dead tribute album called deadicated featuring various bands doing dead covers. they rocked ripple electric janes/navarro style very awesome jam. worth looking for if you havent heard it. in a video for the release of the deadicated album they interviewed perry about doing that dead cover and he told them he used to be a dead fan but not to tell anyone because it was detrimental to his image... that crazy bitch was all braided up looking crazy as fuck if you want a friend feed any animal Perry Farrell
Sebazz1 2 #9 July 18, 2008 The sound was amazing and Perry was absolutely on. I wish they played longer but I have no right to complain. Janes is hands down one of my favortie bands. Anything that Perry has been associated with has my attention too. I did find a web site and heard a few of the Satelitte Party songs, I may go download them later to my IPOD. I am going to look into "Deconstruction, Dave Navarro's solo "Trust No One" released in 2001, Farrell's solo album, and Navarro's current band, The Panic Channel" Not familiar I don't think. It's too bad Perry is such a druggy but alas I think he gets a lot of his craetivity and energy from the drugs. Rock the fuck on baby!!
