chinagirl 0 #1 July 19, 2008 Gonna be in Florida for the week of July 30th thru Aug 8th and spending a few days in Orlando. Was wondering if you could recommend some activities. We want to go to Miami, the beaches along the panhandle, and anywhere else in Florida that has something interesting and "different" to offer. Orlando is for the kids, we want some grown-up fun as well! ~Built for Abuse www.skydivethefarm.com
marcandalysse 0 #2 July 19, 2008 In Orlando, Cirque do Soliel at Downtown Disney, Blue Man at Universal CityWalk if you haven't seen them. The Skyventure WindTunnel at I-4 exit 75A, if you got lots of $$ to burn quickly. ZHills is 40 minutes away. Beaches are great everywhere. Forget the Panhandle and head to Sebastian. chinagirl 0 #3 July 19, 2008 Unfortunately no skydiving on this trip...I'm grounded until I get my shoulders fixed. I'm just looking for anything interesting going on like the Miami Music Convention but I realize that was in March. ~Built for Abuse www.skydivethefarm.com

skymama 37 #6 July 19, 2008 The shows Mark mentioned are great ones. If you like nature, I love grabbing an inner tube and floating down the natural Springs they have here. It's cheap, you can bring a picnic lunch and the water is 72 degrees and very refreshing. The one Pops mentioned is great, but there are some smaller runs closer to Orlando if you don't want to drive to Ocala. Have you ever been on an airboat? That's a fun change of pace. Oh, and there are Outlet Centers galore if you like shopping. KSC is worth the trip too.She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
Tuna-Salad 0 #7 July 19, 2008 Busch Gardens is one of the nicer theme parks I've been to. Pretty extensive collection of animals too and an exhibit to play tug of war with a white tiger. (The white tiger is not confirmed but I know there is a tug of war exhibit)Millions of my potential children died on your daughters' face last night. turtlespeed 226 #9 July 21, 2008 I was going to warn the floridians . . . but they have a few that can hold their own . . .I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun
FlyingJ 0 #10 July 21, 2008 If you make it to the panhandle, I suggest Grayton Beach State Park. The same emerald green sugar sand beaches you'll see in Destin and Panama City Beach without having to deal with the obnoxious crowds. I lived on the park for a year while volunteering with AmeriCorps and miss it every day! If you are looking at some downtime wherever you go, check out www.floridastateparks.org for parks in the area. There are very few parks you could go wrong with in Florida.Killing threads since 2004. chinagirl 0 #11 July 21, 2008 Thank you for all the suggestions. One more request since my wild child baby sister has a need to hit the clubs in Miami. I was there last year and didn't have such a good experience with the "elit-ess" clubs. Any suggestions where the music is jamming and we don't have to dress up like hookers to get in? ~Built for Abuse www.skydivethefarm.com
