New V3 Micron

Just got my V3 Micron and everything about it is real nice. However, its a bit uncomfortable right under the shoulder area where the hard housing for the cutaway cables are. Does this go away after I use it for a bit and it breaks in? Also, the Cypres takes quite a bit of effort to get to. I find it hard to believe that theres no other way to set it up.

Thats the way Bill Booth wants it so you have to look at your reserve pin before you start jumping.

And I don't own a Vector but most rigs loosen up after some jumps.

Yes, it'll be a lot more comfortable as it wears in. Mine was the same way when I first got it. After probably no more than 50 jumps it was nice and comfortable. The cypres also gets a lot easier to reach when the flaps and everything wear in and you just get the technique down.

thanks for the info, looking forward to it getting broken in. the thing is beautiful and exactly what i ordered. no digi cam here in baltimore, when i get back to beantown next week ill post it.

Yup, it'll feel great after it breaks in a bit. I've had a couple new ones now, and I'd say even after the first 10-15 jumps you'll notice a big difference in comfort. Keep an eye out for "Vector-ways" at Pepperell this spring!
