SARLDO 0 #1 July 23, 2008 As wonderful as central Florida is, it is aparently no place to be an elementary school teacher these days. Seems budget cuts have slashed the number of teachers needed. So... If you are in central Florida and have a need for an extremely organized and intelligent women who holds a degree in education and has further experience in accounting and office operations, please PM me. I have to get her out of the house because she is also a great cook and i'm starting to put weight on (I fall fast enough as it is)."Always do right. mamajumps 0 #2 July 23, 2008 Has she tried to apply with Polk County? http://www.polk-fl.net/employment/instructional.htm They can always use good teachers, most of the ones they have now are horrid.... My kids went to a school in this system last year and my son's kindergarten teacher couldn't even spell "concentrate". They are going to a private school this year. But on a serious note, my daughter had a sub for the first two months of school last year, because of the teacher shortage in this county. I wish your wife luck! Also, 3 teachers retired from my kids former elementary school last year.
SARLDO 0 #3 July 23, 2008 Thanks MAMAJUMPS. I can see where they are in need down there in Polk County. That would be a bit of a drive though. I guess I should have specified Orange/Seminole Counties. With what teachers get paid and gas prices these days, the two would just about offset each other."Always do right. mamajumps 0 #4 July 23, 2008 True... however where I am in Polk County, I am only 18 miles from 417. Polk city Elementary is nearly right off I-4, 18 miles from 417. Again, good luck... I know how tough it is. I desperatly want an EMT job, but there are hiring freezes (despite shortages) every where in Florida

What about submitting her name with the closest schools as a tutor? She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon

Nightingale 0 #9 July 23, 2008 Try tutorsteach.com She can put up her resume and contact information and tutor kids who need help. I make about $75/hour to tutor in Algebra, and reading tutors are also in high demand.
