Lion Hug--Snopes Says True

Recommended Posts

I LOVE this story. And I love it's been all over the news and making the email rounds. I, too, have seen it via email and the news five or more times now.

I don't know why I do that to myself. I know what's coming, I still watch, and I cry like an over-emotional nut.

I know it was the 70s, but even today it still happens; I just don't understand how any human can treat any animal in such a way (being caged and for sale as Christian was originally). It's such an ignorant and egotistical thing to do. Very sad.

I'm very pleased, however, this particular story had a happy ending. :)

Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

The Lafayette Escadrille was made up of Americans who volunteered to fight for the French against Germany before the United States officially entered WWI. Their mascots, who lived with them, were 2 lions named "Wiskey and Soda"!
