Virus protection/killer and adware software for pcs

Hey folks,

I was wondering if anyone could recommend software for pcs that will get rid of ad ware and kill viruses. My sister has a pc that's been having problems and I've been a Mac guy for years. Thanks in advance.

First, do this:

HiJackThis

Then go here, and paste in the logfile:

After you have an idea of what the actual problem is, you'll be better prepared to get rid of it. Don't make the mistake, though, of ticking off items willy-nilly. This is just to give you an idea of where the problem lies.

There are many tools listed, and you can also post her HijackThis log in the forums and get help for the specific infestations she's picked up.
