masterblaster72 0 #1 January 4, 2006 Is it possible to make a modification to a J3 container that was manufactured in the late 90's to make it more freefly-friendly? In its current design, the reserve flap does not tuck in, and I'm wondering if it's possible for a rigger to add some extra fabric to the back of the rig to make the flap tuck in. Thank you... LittleOne 0 #2 January 4, 2006 I have a 1997 Javelin with the same kind of reserve flap. My rigger (probably same as yours) told me that she cannot make that modification. I think you would have to send it back to Sunpath. So far, I have had no problem sitflying with this container. You probably need to have a bridle cover added. When I first got my container, the rigger that assembled it reversed the reserve grommet per a service bulletin (I don't know which one). Hope that helps. dragon2 2 #4 January 4, 2006 We have a lot of rigs at our dz that have a "CRW flap", mine included. It's an extra piece of fabric (triangle) that goes over your reserve flap, not a real tuck-in but it keeps the wind and lines (hence the name) out from underneath your reserve flap. Had my rigger do it, was a pretty cheap mod. ciel bleu, Saskia
