Icon134 0 #1 August 1, 2008 I'm just about ready to jumpship even if it requires me to pay an early cancelation fee!!! I've had more problems with verizon and bluetooth devices then I for all intents an purposes should ever have... I think I'm on my 4th physical device and am likely to go through another one... every time I get a new device I have to spend time recovering lost files, call to be reimbursed for purchases... and it just gets more and more tiring everytime I have to do it... all because verizon insists on breaking the hardware with substandard software...Livin' on the Edge... sleeping with my rigger's wife... simplyputsi 0 #2 August 1, 2008 I switched to Verizon a few months ago. I don't have a complaint really and most people I know don't. I hear where you are coming from though. And actually that is one of my beefs. They are supposed to be changing that here withing the next year though. What phone is jacking up on you btw?Skymama's #2 stalker -
Icon134 0 #3 August 1, 2008 my previous phone was a motorola Krazor and I'm now using an LG Dare. for the last week it's worked more or less flawlessly with my bluetooth headset. I disconnected it last night before heading off to the store and this morning it no longer recognizes the device. I've gone through several handsets and although they seem content to replace them it requires that I go to the store and wait in line while they do exactly what I was unable to do only to exchange my brand new device for a referbished one... and in the meantime I don't have access to my bluetooth headset... even though the coverage isn't there I'm really considering changing my carrier (I don't know, perhaps I'll get an iPhone)... unfortunately that problably means I'll lose my phone number since I've moved to a different state and i'm not sure that my number can be ported if I use my current billing address... I am curious by what you mean by this though... what is verizon changing within the next year?Livin' on the Edge... sleeping with my rigger's wife... riddler 0 #4 August 1, 2008 Bluetooth is still not at the point that it works flawlessly with cell phones and headsets. I have a Jabra BT8040 and a Verizon Blackberry8830 and iPhone, and I routinely have to connect the devices to each other. The connection will be lost after I charge the headset, and sometimes the Blackberry bluetooth radio just shuts down, and I have to shutdown and take out the battery to get it working again. The iPhone firmware 2.0 handles BT better than the 1.3 firmware, and I usually don't have to reconnect it to the headset (I used to frequently with 1.3).Trapped on the surface of a sphere. RkyMtnHigh 0 #6 August 1, 2008 I have Verizon. When I first moved into my place, the cell signal was really low. All of my neighbors who are with Verizon were also frustrated about the high volume of dropped calls. I called customer service and asked for a manager for about 7 days straight, expressing my frustration. They kept telling me that they were putting in a new tower 500 feet from my front door but couldn't say when the installation would be complete. As I continued to call, customer service eventually passed my complaint on to an R&D Manager who called to tell me that the tower would be in and service would be noticably better within 2-3 days. I'm not sure what they did, but my cell signal is now very strong and I haven't had anymore dropped calls. Sometimes the squeaky wheel gets the grease. _________________________________________

My signal at my house is rather weak and it drops calls all the time. Maybe I need to call and complain as well. Only problem is we successfully thwarted an attempt for Sprint to put a tower on our property, so I'm not sure Verizon can do anything. I'm sticking it out till I move I guess.Skymama's #2 stalker -
