BIGUN 1,483 #3 August 6, 2008 You mean something like the Anvil Brothers 2 ton twenty way over Texas? Or, the Anvil Brothers "no suit, no stress, sunset loads" at the WFFC Like that? Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

AggieDave 6 #5 August 6, 2008 Bigun, were you on the "Texas 2-ton tragedy" skydive at SD Dallas a few years ago that Mark is always talking about? Apparently the skydive was less than spectacular!--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
DougH 270 #6 August 6, 2008 Are you fat asses going to pay a surcharge for all the extra fuel it is going to take to deliver that flying brick shit house to altitude? "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

Nutz 0 #8 August 6, 2008 I have been on an attempt before. That "Texas 2-ton tragedy" sounds about right, although it was only one ton. "Don't! Get! Eliminated!"

BIGUN 1,483 #14 August 6, 2008 QuoteBigun, were you on the "Texas 2-ton tragedy" skydive at SD Dallas a few years ago that Mark is always talking about? Apparently the skydive was less than spectacular! Less than spectacular?!?!?! He's being gracious. I watch the videos of it to this day and shudder. Chunk an 8 way, everyone else come in, take grips and we make a nice "O" how friggin hard is that?!?!? Hell we'd done it dozens of times at WFFC. 12 other "experienced" skydivers basically docking on a a large SCR. There were people on all levels, below, above, next to - you name it. One guy went shooting between the video guy, me and the formation in a full head down track... it was the closest thing to a complete shitstorm I'd ever seen. I "think" that was the year Turtle got his SCR.Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
skybill 22 #15 August 7, 2008 Hi hbar, 'Going back a few years at Otay in the early 70's, out the door of Mac's Beech, Keith k. was 225 (no gear) and Lorenzo was the same, (base-pin) so we we were off and running. I was usually flying #5 in the line up at 165 (no gear). With gear we probably topped your numbers, or close to it without. Either way, it was fun. Gear was in the 40 to 70 lb range, main, reseerve, harness, hardhat (Bell 500 or) Boots (Frenchies) suit (Pioneer 2Xzipper)!!!SCR-2034, SCS-680 III%, Deli-out
