mamajumps 0 #1 August 7, 2008 How do I get rid of them???? I am absolutely terrified of any spiders, but these that are as big as my hand, literrally give me panic attacks. I killed two last night by drowing them in spray cleaner (thats as close as I can get). Then laying in bed I saw another scurry up the wall that was a good 5 inches in diameter. My house is super clean, and I have a dog and a cat in the house (I always thought having animals around kept certain kinds of pests out). I don't know what too do, I almost slept in my car last night, just becuase I know there are not any in there.... sounds crazy, but my fear of spiders is that bad....HELP! They typically lay their eggs in dark places where there is a lot of microscopic biological activity for their young to feast on. These are usually couches, beds, and under toilet seats. So, you'll find them there a lot of the time. Just let them live. They take care of the mites and things that spread disease."I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

normiss 897 #21 August 7, 2008 and are you sure it's not a wolf spider? them bitches eat roaches! and extermination of spideys doesn't seem to work well due to their "design" spiders
bluepill 0 #22 August 7, 2008 Why dont you make up 'Woodspider look-a-like' lure and train the Cat to hunt and destroy the spiders. I trained our cat with a furry mouse on a string. He went out and killed every RAT in sight. Which was good except he kept placing them outside the front door. BP

TrophyHusband 0 #25 August 7, 2008 if you have a 5 inch spider in your house, i think you owe us a picture. we have gray hairy spiders that i've seen as big as 1 1/2 inches in my garage, but they are slways too fast for me to get a picture. they are scary, if i saw a 5 inch spider, i think i would have to move.
