Fitness Habits August 1st through 7th YEA!

Recommended Posts

Now for my update: the good, the bad, and the ugly! :D

Saw the lowest weight I've seen on the scale in a few years this morning (yippeee again!!) and I just got back from a solid workout -1 hour combination of my fast 30's and treadmill work.

Now for the bad...well I couldn't stop eating when I got home, dammit! :S I had some fiery habenero Doritos (only crushed bits left in the bag, but I ate about 1/4 cup worth.) I ate a 100 calorie Hostess carrot cake thingy. I ate 2 tiny lil dark chocolate bon-bons that my sister in law made (she SWEARS they are fairly healthy! [:/]?) and then...

...the ugly. I just ate a whole damn Baby Ruth candy bar that had been sitting in the dang pantry for about a week. :(

I don't know who the hell threw that thing in there, but damn my lack of will power! >:(

Edit to add: but no worries! I ate VERY well the rest of the day, and I'll do some crunches and push ups later tonight before bed. :)

I did my evening step and lift class and she damn near KILLED us tonight! B|

I was joking with her after class asking if someone had pissed her off and she was taking it out on us...:D

I did about 45 mintues on the elliptical plus abs!

I can always tell when my Zumba class is going to be extra tough if I see the instructor working out BEFORE the class. That gives her lots of energy which she is happy to share with the rest of us! B|

Zumba is a cardio dance class to Latin music- anything from classic Salsa to Reggaeton. They combine fitness moves like lunges and crunches with more traditional latin dance steps- salsa, mambo, cumbia, etc. Its a ton of fun!

The pain is minimized (with glutamine), but I was really slow today - had very little energy. I'm not sure if my body is trying to catch up from the shock, or if my lovely allergies are weakening my body - or both.

1.5 mile run
reverse squats with leg kicks (45 ea)
hop squats (200 feet)
sprint runs (20', 40' 100') 3 ea
push ups (30 ea)
ab work
band work (arm curls/lifts)

think that's it.

I'm ready for the weekend....

Allergies tend to drain me, so my guess is that its a combination of both and it will pass as your body gets used to the increased activity and new allergens in the air. Looks like you managed to get in a pretty good workout anyway. Good going!

Yeah, last night the allergies were so bad I was worried I was going to have a major attack (I have anaphylactic attacks) so I dosed up on benedryl before bed (which probably also attributed to the energy level).

I managed to do it all, but much slower than the rest of the group.... There is a 17 year old girl in the group who is in HS track and ROTC - girl can run circles around me (blech ~ makes me feel old LOL). I feel bad b/c I slow her down, but our trainer is usually pretty good about giving her harder reps than the rest of us to keep her challenged.

Today I felt like the lil engine that could. :P I want to be that strong effecient steam engine though.

Onward and updward right??? :)
