bigway 4 #3 August 8, 2008 I am not having a go at America or anything here, but it blew my mind when the camera panned over to George W Bush. First i was super suprised to see him in a Stadium of such magnitude and secondly because he got a massiv cheer by the crowd, massive. I was just blown away for obvious reasons. After a while of thinking about it i wonder if he got such a massive cheer because the majority of people there were chinese and maybe they thought to fit in with the western world that they need to cheer Bush thinking wrongly that the western world cheers him. I meant none of the above to be political, just the human emotion of suprise. I cant belive the shit uniform my country had on. How could they not have enough respect to wear a Jacket at such an event. The USA looks to have a super strong attendance there. This olympics is going to be fantastic! How strong a image was that painting? Very powerful. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

Jumpervint 0 #6 August 8, 2008 Oh, did it start already? NBC won't broadcast it until prime time this evening, on tape delay, a good fricking 12 hours after the fact. My daughter called from Japan this morning and was describing it to us as she watched it live. I'll be at the dz by the time it broadcasts here.... Vint. . . . . "Make it hard again." skydiver30960 0 #13 August 9, 2008 I'm not much for the parade of nations thingy, but as far as the artistic portion... The media say that China are using this event as an opportunity to "get the world's attention"? Sure as shit got mine. I'm very impressed. I'll have to youtube the drums when they're online. My favorite part (of what I saw) was the movable type. I knew beforehand that there were people in each piece, but as far as I'm concerned I'm glad I knew from the get-go, it made it even more impressive to watch. Hopefully, everything else goes as well as the opening ceremonies did... Elvisio "many nations, one race" Rodriguez

skittles_of_SDC 0 #19 August 9, 2008 the lighting of the torch was also amazing. first the guy 'running' around the top of the stadium and then the way the flame just shot up to the top of the torch.
