D22369 0 #1 August 10, 2008 I have some hiking photo's with me and my son, they got stacked, and now 3 of them are stuck together, anyone know a good way to unstick them without wrecking them? He's growing up to fast and I dont want to lose these Thanks; RoyThey say I suffer from insanity.... But I actually enjoy it.
mnealtx 0 #2 August 10, 2008 I've heard of putting them in an open sandwich bag in the freezer - don't know how well it works, though. An actual photo lab (not your local Walmart) may be able to help, as well. Good luck!Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
ltdiver 3 #3 August 10, 2008 Didn't know the answer myself, so did a little google education. A couple of web sites recommend distilled water. That made me cringe, but THIS ONE advises steam. I like the steam idea. Give it a try, then let us know how it works for you. :^) ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
mnealtx 0 #4 August 10, 2008 I think I'd be worried about emulsion bleed using steam...Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
ltdiver 3 #5 August 10, 2008 Quote I think I'd be worried about emulsion bleed using steam... Perhaps. Okay, place one stuck set in the freezer, another in distilled water, and the 3rd steam. Then report back. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

However, the solutions the photo site gave were of both liquid and steam form. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
fireballgrl 0 #11 August 10, 2008 I used to work at a professional photo lab, and we used a travel steamer to take fingerprints off glossy prints. It should not affect the emulsion if you don't over saturate them
