madhatter 0 #2 August 14, 2008 Sorry for being cynical, but the moment there's a massive marketing drive in SA (e.g. http://www.acaipower.co.za/), I have to wonder. A bottle of red wine a night has enough alcohol to prevent blood clots & enough antioxidants for me to not consider alternatives A VERY MERRY UNBIRTHDAY TO YOU!!! livendive 8 #3 August 14, 2008 I noticed it was listed as an ingredient in some flavored water I drank yesterday. I'd never heard of it before then, so I don't really have an opinion other than the flavored water tasted better than plain. Blues, Dave"I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" Orchid 0 #4 August 14, 2008 Pretty much the same thing as the "mona vie" drink they have out there. Though there are lots of pros but here's the cons. "the FDA warned MonaVie about medicinal claims on its Web site and, in an email to NEWSWEEK, says it's satisfied with the company's response. At sales meetings, like the one in Florida, Larsen says he reminds people that MonaVie "is just a juice.""Love is doing small things with great love." LisaH 0 #5 August 14, 2008 Here is my input as having worked in the field for 8 years.... With the Acai fruit there are only pros. It is a highly nutrient fruit with a good calcium and some vitamin A, also it is considered an antioxidant. Since it is a fruit from a palm tree there is no known side effect or reactions to it. Thus, no cons. I suggest you check it more online especially on Wikapedia. Be yourself! MooOOooOoo
