SpeedRacer 1 #1 August 15, 2008 In the current & other elections we have seen how campaigns will dig up anything in their rivals' past & play it up in order to bring their rival down. So, could you successfully run for office, or is there too much in the way of drunk shenanigans, or too much on video that you'd never be able to do it? guppie01 0 #2 August 15, 2008 I don't think I'd have too much of a problem with people digging up skeletons.... I think I'd have more of a problem with my potty mouth and telling people where they could shove it! g "Let's do something romantic this Saturday... how bout we bust out the restraints?" SpeedRacer 1 #6 August 15, 2008 I think there are too many uptight fuddyduddies in this country that, given what's out there, I'd never stand a chance. Speed Racer --------------------------------------------------

councilman24 37 #15 August 15, 2008 I have run for office! And been elected three times! But, only local non-partisan city council and nobody looked. Probably nothing bad enough around to make a difference. I keep waiting but since it's non partisan the campaigns are pretty clean. But, for President I'd have to appointed like Ford.Maybe that's a new tactic on kid misbehavior. "If you ever want to be President you'd better not do that". I'm old for my age. NickDG 23 #17 August 15, 2008 USPA wise I could still run for office . . . Until all the bandit jumps came out. Or the time I was fired from a DZ for burning a student rig that was going to kill someone. And the time I got into a fist fight with a rigger from a neighboring DZ who was telling our students we were dangerous just to get their business. Or that time Scotty Carbone and I stole a 40 pound Mackerel from the hotel kitchen reefer at a PIA convention and got charged by the police with Grand Fish. Or the time Bill Ottley and I were driving around Washington, DC when I was being considered for the position of PARACHUTIST editor. Bill, who knew I B.A.S.E. jumped, caught me gazing longingly at the Washington Monument, and he said, "This isn't going to work out, is it?" Or when . . . maybe I'd better stop now. My advice is to run for USPA office early in your jumping career before you get a chance to develope a rap sheet, eh, resume . . . NickD
