Have you actually clicked on any of the ads here?

Is this the real deal, i.e., legitimate and virus/spyware-free? If so, I'm up for it.

Yup. It's just a Firefox add-on.

Oh - and will it anger The Lance Armstrong?

Lance has not been staring at me. :P

Anyhow, Yes. In particular there's a certain gear store/dealer that I represent, and I also represent & am friends with the owners, so I regularly click on their ads. I also do occasionally do look at other gear mfgrs' ads.

I have not clicked on The Lance Armstrong. Yet. But it keeps telling me to do so. :| And my resolve is weakening.

I generally use ABP, but on sites such as this where I get something for nothing I disable it.

The ads may be relevant to my interests, also HH has/had put alot of effort into this site and I feel it is fair to see the ads here. This may change under the new ownership. Lets hope not.

you do realise that's costing them money?

Of course. Review of their ad copy is actually part of the services I provide to them. I'm also an excellent, long-standing customer of theirs, and I've referred scores of other jumpers to them.

Of course I click on ads for windtunnels, dropzones and skydiving gear!

If I'm bored, I might as well plan my next vacation, or find new ways of parting with my cash.

;)

Relax, you can die if you mess up, but it will probably not be by bullet.

Nope, I don't click the ads. In fact running Firefox and ABP I don't see any of the ads.

If the ad revenue doesn't meet what they expect, I wonder if our new corporate masters will shut the site down?

Within the same thread even... :(

to get odds even with ye', it actually is worth mentioning more than twice.. i really love that thing as ads annoy the shit out of me. i feel as if i got some religious freak putting a foot in my door and trying to convince me that HIS religion is the best thing since sliced bread, when on every webpage i visit i get commercials thrown at me. IE7pro is like having a dozen rottweilers (seen the movie omen, the old one!?) right at the doorstep. its very unlikely to happen.. :P:):D
