PLFXpert 0 #1 August 18, 2008 Used to be a favorite seasonal drink of mine—two parts champagne (sparkling wine, let’s be honest), one part So Co (Southern Comfort) and quartered frozen apricots. Since then I’ve lost the So Co, kept the champagne, and played with all sorts of berries. I have my “Blumosa” made with a glass of 3 parts champagne and one part 100% blueberry-acai juice. And my “Mangosa” which is the same except with mango-acai juice. The point is, I’m a genius! This just in: “Researches recently made the discovery that adding alcohol to berries boosted the amount of antioxidants in the fruit that could be absorbed by our bodies.” To celebrate this news, I say: Strawberries are good, but in a daiquiri they’re even better. And now they’re healthier for you, too! Cheers to you! And let’s have another for the researches whose hard work we’ll forever be grateful. Bottoms up, berries!
