I'm sure I can find a copy somewhere if I look hard enough though.

I'm sure you can. Our local Costco must have sold a million copies. Every time you walked in for the next year and half they were playing that game on all the big screens.

One of the greatest moments in all of baseball history.

***

Skip Carey, "Bream rounds third, here comes the throw, here's the play at the plate, he'sssssssss.......SAFE!!! BRAVES WIN, BRAVES WIN, BRAVES WIN!!!!!

For those who don't know, Skip Carey, voice of the Braves for 30 years, passed away at the end of last week.:(

That was a great play. I remember as soon as the ball was hit I said "here we go, play at the plate."

U. S. Reed's half-court shot at the buzzer to beat Louisville in the 1981 NCAA tourney......the crowd literally exploded.

Jack's back nine at Augusta in 1986. The "washed-up" Bear winning the Masters at age 46.

Derek Jeter's flip to the plate to nail Giambi in the 2000(?) playoffs....the best heads-up play I've ever seen. He had no business being on that side of the diamond, except for his own intuition and hustle.

The Immaculate Reception.....the icing on the cake was Franco out-running none other than that a**hole Jack Tatum to the end zone. What a truly sublime moment for all long-suffering (at that time) Steelers fans. :)
Edit -- forgot one. Earl Campbell once ran it in for a touchdown, and was hit in the back about 3 yards into the endzone. This caused him to stumble forward through the end-zone and run into Bevo hard enough to knock down some guy standing behind the Longhorn mascot. :o

Would this be a bad time to mention that the ball hit the ground:o

I'm late to this thread, but I want to add mine.

1986 World Series Game 6. Red Sox lead the Mets 3 games to 2. It is the bottom of the 9th, Red Sox up 2 runs, Mets have 2 outs and 2 strikes on them...the rest is history!B|

Did I mention there was a skydiver involved too?:)

The Bill Buckner blunder right?;)

You know Buckner was really an excellent player, but he will always be remembered for that one event. Poor bastard.

Anyway, his screwup made me a very happy man that year. I waited a long time for a Mets WS win.

This one, by far, because it's my greatest childhood memory.

Other notable mentions: Tug McGraw's final pitch vs. the Kansas City Royals in the 1980 World Series, and Wilburt Montgomery's run into the end zone in the 1981 NFC championship vs. the Cowboys.

Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.
