OK, just got a few minutes before I have to make a choice. I'm not really hungry but I'll probably be hungry later, unless I'm a bit drunk. I'm not driving any more this week, just returned my car. I do need to be functional tomorrow. It looks like I won't be flying tomorrow due to weather-what should I do?

There is beer bread. I just polished off the last slice of Samuel Adams Summer Ale beer bread. Good stuff...

But you need one of those ready-made boxed mixes. Open box, dump mix in bowl, pour one bottle of beer in, mix until blended, pour in bread foil, pop in oven, bake.

No you don't, you just need a recipe. Here's my favorite:

3 cups flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 1/2 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
12 ounces beer
1 tablespoon dried dill weed
OR
3 tablespoons fresh dill

Directions:

Heat oven to 375. Butter a loaf pan.

Sift the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into a mixing bowl. Stir
in the beer and dill.

Scrape the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake 55-60 minutes or
until brown on top and knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow to sit in the pan 10 minutes, then cool on rack.
