I'll be sad if she ever stops, because I'll know the dementia is real. :) linz-- A conservative is just a liberal who's been mugged. skymama 37 #5 August 28, 2008 My mother and mother-in-law go overboard on everyone's birthday and Christmas gifts. It is my duty to let them continue that joy of giving. He says go buy what I want, tell him what it cost and he'll give me the money. So far I've been a "good" kid and haven't overspent (much.... ) 'Shell

BillyVance 35 #15 August 29, 2008 I'm still getting money from my folks. But you know what they say, it's nice to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it. I've never asked my parents for financial help. If I had a problem, I dealt with it myself. Still, it's nice to get something from them."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban

Muenkel 0 #18 August 30, 2008 Like most who have posted, I still receive the check in the card. In addition, my mom likes to buy presents also, so we have something to unwrap. This year in addition to the check, I received clothing because I lost so much weight. _________________________________________ Chris

Cari 0 #20 September 1, 2008 I turned 30 2 Mondays ago and my parents paid for AFF 1. That's better than cash even though that's what I'd have spent cash on. It's nice that they support it considering that I've talked to more than a few people who have families that think they're insane for wanting to jump out of planes.
