Twoply 0 #1 September 9, 2008 So my 4 year old went to his first Karate class today. They keep the class around a half hour so's not to overload them. Thing is, I didnt know what the procedure was at this place and a guy approached me. I explained myself and he mentioned that the instructor was stuck in traffic and had called to tell him she was going to be late. When she got there she was all business. I dont know if she's normally like that or was pissed about something but she was ordering my little guy around in a very direct tone. Now dont get me wrong, I discipline my kids and they take it, but this woman was almost a bit rough. I try not to be the dad on the sidelines telling the kids what to be doing when the coach is doing his thing. But my son's attention is like a butterfly's somtimes, and this woman got his attention. He was following her instruction much more than I've seen him follow other coaches of different sports and I think he was having fun at it. He said he's like to go back and I'm very proud of how well he did. I was very happy to see some discipline being taught while what appeared to be kids having fun learning.
