I made this movie yesterday evening out of stuff I've gotten in the last couple of months.

I plan to edit for $ in the near future so please let me know what you think. - The AFF is my friend Dwyane. The instructor is Aaron Stocum - The free fall video was taken by Pip Redvers and Laszlo Andacs.

Visuals are good, one or two transition cuts lagged a bit but overall pretty clean....lose the sleepy time music, the shots & tie-ins are energy on this one, not poetry.

Ya got plenty of stuff to work with there...keep playin' around with it. It's not bad, just needs some polish....cut up some of the longer segments and move them around between other parts...and ROCK 'N ROLL the MUSIC!

First question since you say you want to edit for money in the future is did you obtain the rights to the music and the footage?

The editing wasn't bad. You avoided most of the big issues of going overboard with the crosswipes, the exploding stars, etc for transitions. The music was not in my list of what worked but music and editing is a very personal selection.

That was the whole kind of thing I was going for was something relaxing and euphoric while taking in the view although I could never match the one pointed out which was is what gave me the idea and i really could not think of anything else to use for music at the moment

I thought that might be your inspiration for the music.

Just watched it all and I liked it, made me want to go jump.

What airtwardo and phreezone said.

Less is more, learn the rules before you break them, you look to be doing that.

If you're going to be editing profesionally you'll be spending a LOT of time hunched over a computer. From bitter experience take some time to make sure your workstation set up as ergonomically as possible and take frequent screen breaks. Even when working look away to keep your eyes from going square.

I agree with the less is more, and so far nobody has liked the choice of tunes, but this is not a big problem.

As far as editing.. I make my living on a pc and spend about 18 hours a day on one.. editing is just something I found to be fun. Ergonomics to me is moving the beer bottles so I can still see the screen.
