For the "FEW" 15th Sept 1940

That was a tough fight you chaps put up over there. Do you get the day off as part of the remembrance?
So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh
Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright
'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life
Make light!

I agree, they did a great job. No we don't get a day off, in fact most people wouldn't even know about the anniversary :( - but I'm ex-RAF.

Well done either way! I wish there was a way to elevate some of your vets in recognition. We get treated very well here, and I wish it were the same everywhere.

I know what you mean. But there is a charity (I know, it should the government not well wishers) that is runing a series of events to support our lads wounded in Afghanistan....... "Help for Heros"

That's not so bad, there is a long list of private organizations that do the same here in the US. Glad there's support, any is better than none.
