slotperfect 7 #1 September 21, 2008 Last night the Rock Hall of Fame and the John Entwistle Foundation held a concert in nearby Cary, NC. There were multiple local bands and some very well known artists that came by themselves or with the latest incarnation of their band. As we arrived Jefferson Starship was finishing their set, so I went a cruised the booths to see what memorabilia was for sale. One booth had some Roger Dean prints on a side table, and my favorite Yes album cover - Relayer - was available as a very nice print. As I waded through the crowd to get to the table to get some help, I noticed that Roger Dean himself was signing autographs, and in the case of the prints he was stamping them for authenticity. I bought a print (best $20 I spent all week) and got in line to get it signed, and I noticed another white haired guy talking to Roger. He turned around and I recognized him as Alan White from Yes! So, this week I will get a nice frame for my Relayer print signed by the artist and one of the artists that commissioned the artist for the art. Gawain 0 #2 September 22, 2008 Yes has some really good music...a mess of a band in a way though... I too, love their album art pre-90125. A lot of good talent. I have many of their albums on vinyl. So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light!
