Superman32 0 #1 December 5, 2005 Last winter I jumped with my ski pants and other more bulky clothing, but this year, I'm into FF and the bulky stuff won't fit under the jumpsuit. So I went to this hardcore outdoor store and and guy suggested I buy the DuoFold(?) Expedition weight long johns. It's supposed to be millitary grade, so warn that he warned me about overheating, ie, perfect for skydiving. Has anybody ever used these? Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches! Are they the black ones that are really stretchy and have some weird pattern in the fabric?

johnny1488 1 #5 December 6, 2005 Duofold are awesome. Just one layer over tem should be enough to keep you warm. And they dont get you hot when you arent in the cold. My gf has a silk duofold shirt. its super thin and she says is warmer than her regular one. Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!" matthewcline 0 #6 December 6, 2005 Yes they work. Being one of the military who tested them a bit and has worn them for 4 years they are awesome. A suplex or cotton FF suit will keep you fairly toasty on the ground and the ride up. You will feel a bit of a bite from the cold in Freefall but once again under canopy you should be fine. I have worn mine for many a winter jump. Even opened and saw a few flurries under canopy. Now if the ycould do some thing about my finger tips!An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
