FlyingJ 0 #1 September 26, 2008 I've used Excel forever and consider myself pretty proficient. I just started using Excel on my Macbook though. Not too bad in general, but I've got my head up my ass on a few topics. I'm going crazy because the F2 key doesn't work to edit the active cell as it does in Windows. At first it always changed my contrast. I fixed that in the Mac settings so it recognizes regular function keys instead of the Mac functions. Now when I hit F2 though it copies the cell rather than opening it for editing. Using F2 for this is drilled into my head after years of use and I still use Excel on a PC at work. Somebody please tell me if it's possible to get F2 in Excel to function the same on my Mac as it does on my PC. I don't give a damn what the rest of the function keys do, just F2.Killing threads since 2004.
murrays 0 #2 September 26, 2008 You should be able to set that up....but just where I can't remember and I don't have Excel on my home machine. I set up a couple of key combinations that I use but it was so long ago I can't remember. Will try to check this thread tomorrow morning.-- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
