iluvtofly 0 #1 September 28, 2008 So I'm sitting here watching show titled Destroyed in Seconds. It's great. Nothing but carnage. Mostly the carnage of objects such as cars, boats, buildings etc. I think only 1 clip so far resulted in deaths. But it's still really interesting and fun to watch. Or maybe I'm just a sick and morbid person.

tkhayes 348 #4 September 29, 2008 same shit, different show - seen all the stuff somewhere else. These shows continue to come out with supposedly a 'new angle' on it, but in the end, it is all the same. When I got involved with Discovery Health CH, they wanted to do the "Impact" series, and called me about breaking my neck. I was tired of the freak shows, so I declined. They convinced me that it was all about the recovery, the treatment, how you got better etc..... so I did it. We shot at the hospital, the DZ, the ambulance guys, everything recreated over and over and down to great detail. Final edit? 30 seconds of the hospital at the most and then showed the actual crash 21 times. Complete bullshit. Another way of putting it into perspective, I had a conversation years ago with the producer of the Guiness book of World Records show that was on TV about 10 years ago. They were thinking of shooting some stuff at the DZ here. Producer: "So have you seen the show?" Me: "I have seen it a couple times, not really my bag." Producer: "What do you think of it?" Me: (without trying to be insulting) "It's a bit of a freak show." Producer: "A BIT OF A FREAK SHOW? IT'S A COMPLETE FREAK SHOW - THAT'S WHAT WE DO!!" there you go..... When I saw your post, I wondered how they could misspell T.K.Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.
Tuna-Salad 0 #10 September 29, 2008 T. K. Hays unsuccessfully attempted an advanced skying diving maneuver and snapped his neck - To the above quote also.. that does not show any respect at all. It looks like they are suggesting he was inexperienced and tried something stupid. I also just noticed. What the hell is skying diving?Millions of my potential children died on your daughters' face last night.
pirana 0 #11 September 29, 2008 That is some of the worst supposedly professional writing I've seen. Makes you wonder where they get writers for that shit; poor unemployed relatives who kinda know how to read but still can't write?" . . . the lust for power can be just as completely satisfied by suggesting people into loving their servitude as by flogging them and kicking them into obedience." -- Aldous Huxley
