BillyVance 35 #1 October 2, 2008 Outside the local Walmart Supercenter? Remember, I live just 10 miles from the Talladega Superspeedway, where the Nascar races will be held this weekend. The track becomes the state's largest city with well over 250,000 people two weekends of the year. Okay, they're the Nascar haulers of my two favorite drivers. pyrodude 0 #3 October 2, 2008 Hendrick is great with the plate races, but at the risk of getting this booted to SC, I'm going to pronounce that God wants 99 or 16 to win this weekend!

They've been running good lately. Did you see 99's move on the last lap last Sunday? Whoa! That was entertaining! Jimmie was like, "where did HE come from?" pirana 0 #13 October 2, 2008 Quote Did you see 99's move on the last lap last Sunday? Whoa! That was entertaining! Jimmie was like, "where did HE come from?" But there was also no doubt where he was going to end up after coming into the corner that hot. I really wondered about that move. Was getting collected by the wall really worth leading the race for about 2 seconds? I'm sure he would not have done that if the car in third was close enough to make him pay for it by losing another spot. He had to know that was going to be an impossible line to hold at that speed." . . . the lust for power can be just as completely satisfied by suggesting people into loving their servitude as by flogging them and kicking them into obedience." -- Aldous Huxley

He knew he was going into the wall. He was just hoping he wouldn't hit it hard enough and still keep the lead. He was going for the "No Guts No Glory" move. It was worth a try and he still ended up 2nd. Nutz 0 #17 October 2, 2008 Quote They've been running good lately. Did you see 99's move on the last lap last Sunday? Whoa! That was entertaining! Jimmie was like, "where did HE come from?" They talked to Carl after the race and he said that he had done that move in a video game and he had always wanted to try it on the track. In the video game you hit the wall and hold it wide open and the wall acts as a "rail" to hold the car. It didn't work that way in reality, it was cool though. Jimmie was like, man he hit the wall and then he hit the gas again! "Don't! Get! Eliminated!"
