Man he just about took himself out of the gene pool.

When I was a kid a friend of mine filled his aluminun, saucer shaped Boy Scout canteen with his dads black powder and touched a match to the spout thinking it was going to be a fountain of sparks. He survived it but he has a large steel plate in his head and is missing most of his right hand. He never was quite the same after that.
