Conundrum 1 #1 October 15, 2008 Went this year with my new camera. It was an awesome show, as usual. Rebel XTi EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS handheld http://www.raspydesign.com/airshow Enjoy! I have high res of all these if anyone is interested.
Squeak 17 #2 October 15, 2008 Awesome pics, How did you get the shots from, the side of the planes that were flying? Particularly this oneYou are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing?
Conundrum 1 #3 October 15, 2008 I'm not understanding the question. Are you asking how I got that shot? They flew right in front of us and I snapped a pic when they were lined up like that.

They flew right in front of us and I snapped a pic when they were lined up like that. so that inverted pass was horizontal to your position and really low to the ground? Or were you elevated in a grandstand or building. I've never been to an airshhow so dont really know how they run. but that would seem incredibly close to the ground to run inverted. Conundrum 1 #6 October 15, 2008 I was at ground level and they were pretty low.
futuredivot 0 #7 October 15, 2008 Tons of talent. The Angels are the best formation team in the world year in and year out. And yes, I am sort of an expert You are only as strong as the prey you devour

futuredivot 0 #9 October 15, 2008 The ICAS website usually has a pretty complete list (International Council of Airshow blah blah blah) You'll have to google-I thing the actual site is like icasq.org or something like that. I'm a member but it's a work thing, I don't follow that part too closelyYou are only as strong as the prey you devour

simplyputsi 0 #15 October 15, 2008 Very very nice pics. The 2 with the F-16 and the Raptor, and the older plane(sorry I don't know what that one is exactly) are awesome. The Raptor looks like it's on top of them, but it's just because the damn thing is huge compared to those two planes. I was going to ask for some of them in high res, but they all rock. You had great access it appears.Skymama's #2 stalker -
downwardspiral 0 #16 October 15, 2008 Wow those are incredible shots. I'm jealous. Wish I knew about the air show because I would have been there. The last one I went to was a couple years ago at Edwards AFB. The Thunderbirds are terribly boring compared to the Blue Angels. And yes the Blue Angels are THE BEST in the world.www.FourWheelerHB.com

Conundrum 1 #18 October 15, 2008 Quote Quote And yes the Blue Angels are THE BEST in the world Yeah right Who beats their performance in your opinion? I have only seen them and the Thunderbirds so I can only choose between those two, but BA's win by far.
futuredivot 0 #19 October 15, 2008 Quote Quote And yes the Blue Angels are THE BEST in the world Yeah right I hate to say it--but yeah, right. Military teams aren't really what I do but just through the course of things I end up watching tons of video of them. Angels are the best formation team in the world. It looks like the show was good. Some great pics were taken. shropshire 0 #20 October 15, 2008 I wouldn't say beat, but the Red Arrows , PAF etc... are all professionals and rate very highly, but to call one team better than the other is pure arrogance. downwardspiral 0 #22 October 15, 2008 I haven't seen the Red Arrows in 15 years but what I did see, while impressive, wasn't mind blowing. That's BS. I have been to multiple airshows and have seen all sorts of demonstration teams and yet I still prefer to see the Blue Angels fly because IMHO they are better than all the rest. How is that arrogant?www.FourWheelerHB.com
