chiquita24 0 #1 October 19, 2008 Ok I just have to vent this somewhere, even though I'm sure enough people have heard it! I hate winter!!! And it's right around the corner. Just the thought of being here this year-I live in Northern MN-is killing me. I've spent the past two winters in Mexico and due to money reasons, I can't go this year and I for sure don't have enough to move right now. So winter's around the corner and I need to find some way to get through it! Any suggestions?!![
ladydyver 0 #2 October 19, 2008 We live in the Washington state...summer lasted about 6-8 weeks this year....I feel your pain ---- our dz closes tomorrow except for some occasional jumping out of our cessna 182 ---- usually we have a grand caravan but it is going to a warmer climate for the winter. my suggestion...try to travel south as much as possible or take up some kind of winter sport DPH # 2 "I am not sure what you are suppose to do with that, but I don't think it is suppose to flop around like that." ~Skootz~ I have a strong regard for the rules.......doc! stuckonseven 0 #4 October 19, 2008 Watch hockey and shovel snow. Not much else to do where you're at in the winter. Ever try skiing? It's fun but not the same rush.

Amazon 7 #9 October 19, 2008 Quote any of you northerners frozen tundra folk ever have sex in an igloo??? DUDE.. building igloos properly is hard work... you have to get your angles just right so that the spiral leans to the center as well as climbs. When you get done you have a wonderful place to play. You build a nice platform on which to sleep cover it with a ground cover... and get close and share all thatt body heat inside your sleeping bags... just get the kind that zip together. And to your question??? Hell yeah

FlyingJ 0 #15 October 19, 2008 Wish I had a good suggestion for you. I finally got fed up with it and moved back south! I'm dreading winter this year too. With how mild summer was we'll probably be in for a doozy, like three or four frosts instead of just one or two. Good luck staying warm. Sounds like it might be time to pick up a winter "bed warmer" as some friends (male and female) used to call the "significant others" they would date for the winter and then drop like a hot rock as soon as spring came around. Killing threads since 2004.
happythoughts 0 #16 October 19, 2008 Yesterday was a bit cool. Out at the dz and it was too warm at moments, but less humid than usual. Today, Fall is upon us. I went to a birthday party and it was held outdoors. They had a bouncy-castle for the kids. It was in the mid-70s, so they were able to play without sweating to death. Towards the end of the day, it developed into a water-balloon war.
wildfan75 1 #17 October 20, 2008 Hmmm...I don't know. How about SKYDIVE??? Skydive Wissota in Chippewa Falls, WI is open all year 'round. If its warm enough for the planes to start (hehe...we plug them in at night), its warm enough to skydive. Come join us!
chiquita24 0 #18 October 20, 2008 BRRRR I don't think I could jump out when it's like 0 degrees out or colder!! Plus, sadly, I'm not an experienced jumper. Just a tandem student with 13 jumps! I'll get there someday when I get the money.
