popsjumper 2 #7 October 22, 2008 Find the nearest road heading out of town? Philly is one serious city for American history. Observe. Stay off of, and far away from, Ridge Avenue. Avoid the Sure-kill expressway. Say hello to my friend Joe in Manayunk. My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. shropshire 0 #8 October 22, 2008 I love Philly (been there a few times with work - years ago now). Run up the Rocky steps Visit THE bell Visit the Franklin museum - actually, Philly has loads of good museums Goto Valley Forge, a camp site not a battle (as some wrongly believe... actually, there was a battle of sorts .... with the bitter winter weather) Just walk around in the crisp autumnal weather.
