el_chester 4 #1 November 22, 2005 Here's the problem... I have seen how this is done with a thin wire to pull the tip of the line into the line itself. Is there any way to do this without needing a rigger? Or would it be a very bad idea? The rigger who did this originally said "you could do this at home if you had one of these" (as he held the thin wire that ran into the line) - that's the only reason I ask instead of going directly to find a rigger. -- Be careful giving advice. Wise men don't need it, and fools won't heed it.

Superfletch 1 #4 November 22, 2005 Get a small alluminum knitting needle and cut the tip of it off (say about 3-4 inches). Make sure it's a hollow alluminum kniting needle. Put the end of the micro line up into the needle and then run it up through the inside of the micro line that you want to finger trap... you don't have to be a rigger, it's easy but a rigger will already have the tools you need. hookitt 1 #5 November 22, 2005 Quote >>You just need a finger trap tool. You mean, like a thin wire Take a thin wire and bend it in half. If it's long enough then wrap the free ends around a pencil or something. Pull the line the rest of the way out. Insert the wire, well above the exit hole and push it through as close as possible to the knot then out. Put the line into the wire and pull it back up through. It's about the easiest method to use for microline. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
