KindredSpirit 0 #1 November 17, 2005 Are there any riggers out there who can re-size a harness so it is smaller? Preferably in Canada. "Kicking gravity's ass since 2003!"

Superman32 0 #4 November 17, 2005 I know Master Riggers can do it, but why not just send it to the manuf.? Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!
riggerrob 643 #5 November 17, 2005 I am an FAA Master Rigger and I live in Canada (albeit on the opposite coast) and I worked at the Talon factory for three years. Start by asking a local tailor to measure you as if you were ordering a new Talon, then FAX the order form to Rigging Innovations (in Eloy, Arizona) along with the serial number of the Talon you want re-sized. Explain that you are considering purchasing a used Talon and would like some advice on re-sizing it. Reassure R.I. that the sewing will be done by a Master Rigger. Though it still might be cheaper to visit a Master Rigger in New England.
KindredSpirit 0 #6 November 17, 2005 I have contacted R.I. and they gave me a price (over $400US). It's just that I don't think it's worth putting that much money into a 10 year old container. Just looking to see if I can get it done a bit cheaper in Canada to avoid the exchange rate. "Kicking gravity's ass since 2003!"
hookitt 1 #7 November 17, 2005 Talon 1. $400 bucks seems rather high. The entire harness can be replaced for that much. Shortening the lift web on an original Talon with a fixed harness should take about an hour. The lower junction needs to be unstitched moved up and re-sewn. There's a little more to it than that but not much.My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
